We are searching for a Compliance Specialist to join our
Compliance Department located in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Position Summary: To assist the Manager Compliance and Division
Directors to manage and coordinate LCECs internal and external
compliance activities to embed a culture of compliance. Provide
guidance and training in addition to overseeing the refinement and/
or development of business controls which satisfy regulations and
support business initiatives.
Lead and update compliance program documents to ensure the
organization adheres to applicable Federal, State, and local
regulations, including but not limited to NERC, FERC, HIPPA, and

performance improvement or compliance opportunities and follow-up

Lead the development and review of processes, policies, and

leadership, and external agencies and colleagues.
Bachelors Degree in Legal Studies, Business, Finance, Risk
Management, or closely related field 5 to 7 years of compliance
and/or audit experience Working knowledge of project management
methodologies Expert knowledge of electrical utilities standards
and regulations Expert level knowledge of NERC and FERC standards
and requirements Professional level datamining/data analysis
Professional level knowledge of internal controls and application
of same Strong research, analytical and investigative skills
Exceptional process development abilities Exceptional verbal and
written communication and documentation abilities Ability to apply
regulatory requirements to business processes while enabling
business efficiency Able to work with information of a confidential
nature with the highest integrity
At least seven (7) years prior experience leading compliance
programs in one (1) of the following areas: Regulatory Compliance,
Business Processes or Legal/ Transactional Project Management
Experience Prior experience in the power distribution industry
