Job Description:The Bradenton Christian School Superintendent
will faithfully support Bradenton Christian School's mission
statement to prepare the hearts and minds of God's covenantal
children in partnership with the home and church for service in
God's world. It is the Superintendent's responsibility to carry out
the policies of the School Board as they relate to the function of
the school and to their association with faculty, staff, students,
and parents.Duties/Responsibilities:Strategic Policy and School
Governance
- Reports to and is accountable to the school board. Facilitates
constructive and productive working relations with the board.
- Partners with the board to set a clear vision for the school's
future, outlining strategic goals, and developing plans for goal
achievement in accordance with the school's mission.
- Upholds and serves as the voice of the school on all
established board policies.
- Seeks advice, counsel, and approval of administrative rules and
regulations pertaining to all board policies.
- Ensures that the school complies with accreditation standards,
federal/state laws & regulations, scholarship requirements, etc.
Leads the re-accreditation process in partnership with the
board.
- Reports to the board on all matters pertaining to the overall
health of the academic, operational and advancement aspects of the
school.
- Communicates the attitudes of faculty, administrators, and the
school community to the board.
- Works with the president of the board to prepare board meeting
agendas.
- Provides an effective means of communication to assure a
two-way flow between all involved and interested groups in the
Bradenton Christian School family.
- Submits to the board a clear and detailed explanation of any
proposed instructional, operational, or advancement plans or
procedures which would involve either a departure from established
policy, procedure or the established budget.Instructional and
Spiritual Leadership
- Oversees the development and implementation of the overall
academic program, ensuring whole school curricular alignment and
biblical integration in each subject and classroom; monitors and
assesses the effectiveness of the educational program on a
continual basis using Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and
metrics.
- Ensures that the school's learning goals are aligned with
accreditation standards and instructional practices that yield the
highest standards of spiritual growth, student achievement, and
instructional excellence.
- Fosters a professional community of teachers and other
professional staff to promote each student's spiritual growth and
academic achievement; encourages faculty to develop their
professional skills.
- Oversees spiritual formation activities in the classroom and
outside of core curricular areas to ensure activities are aligned
with the role of the school.
- Stays informed on various educational challenges at the state
and national level.
- Establishes and promotes a safe, spiritual atmosphere in the
school.
- Demonstrates spiritual maturity while leading from the Reformed
Biblical worldview.Operational Leadership
- Provides leadership in the implementation of the school's
mission and goals while adhering to the framework of policies
adopted by the board.
- Supervises the work of the principals and the operational
leadership team.
- Serves as the coordinator and supervisor of all school
activities.
- Supports the principals through the hiring process for new
teachers, ensuring that all candidates are appropriately
interviewed and approved utilizing the appropriate BCS committee
structure.
- Makes objective recommendations with adequate supporting data
to the board and appropriate committees regarding cases of
assignment transfer, promotion, demotion, renewal of contract, or
dismissal of instructional personnel.
- Oversees hiring, evaluating, and firing of all
non-instructional personnel in the school.
- Reviews all publications of all school newsletters and public
relation pieces.
- Ensures that all annual reporting is completed and filed in a
timely manner.
- Implements the strategic plan and continuously reviews the
strategic goals in collaboration with the board.
- Partners with the director of accounting in consultation with
the finance committee to plan effectively for all financial
programs of the school. Directs the preparation and allocation of
expenditures of the budget within the school's fiscal capabilities
and ensures that funds are expended in accordance with the approved
budget.
- Provides leadership, direction, and guidance for the strategic
initiatives and day-to-day operations of facilities,
transportation, food service, and human resources.
- Oversees the development of technology planning and
implementation and facilitates the integration of technology into
the school curriculum.
- Makes a final recommendation regarding the removal of any
student or family from the school to the board.
- Acts as the chief representative for the school in the broader
community; consistently models godly character and the values of
the school.
- Creates a positive culture of stewardship and develops
relational strategies tailored to donor groups; maintains donor
relations.
- Participates in service and networking organizations to
cultivate relationships with community members and organizations.
Educates and engages local churches on the BCS vision and
mission.
- Effectively develops and drives marketing strategies while
prioritizing enrollment.
- Provides leadership oversight to the admissions and enrollment
of new students and families.
- Implements and maintains effective strategies for
systematically communicating with and gathering input from all
stakeholders in the school.
- Networks and participates in promotional activities on behalf
of the school.
- Serves as an integral part of the BCS community maintaining a
presence at a variety of school events.This job description is

Qualifications:Required Skills & Abilities:
- A clearly articulated testimony of personal faith in Jesus
Christ as Savior along with weekly in-person attendance in a
Christian church.
- Master's Degree or higher required. Educational Leadership or
Master of Business Administration preferred.
- Eligible for Educational Leadership Certification.
- Progressively responsible experience in academic, operational,
and advancement leadership required.
- Must be a team player with a desire to help and serve
others.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at times.Application
